Ingame Rules

From Lucid - NarutoRP

NARUTORP ROLEPLAY STANDARDS & SCENE CONDUCT

These rules govern all in-character interaction on the server. They exist to ensure scenes remain fair, immersive, and coherent within the Naruto universe. Common sense always applies. Not every possible scenario can be listed here, and staff retain final say in edge cases or situations not directly covered by the rules.

Important Notice
If a scene feels unclear, continue the roleplay and handle disputes afterward through the proper support channels. Do not derail active scenes with out-of-character arguments.

Legend

Common Sense Applies
Do not search for loopholes in the rules. If an action is clearly disruptive, abusive, or unrealistic, it may still be punished even if it is not written word-for-word on this page.

Staff Authority
Rules may evolve as the server develops. Staff have final say in unresolved situations, and refusal to follow staff direction during or after a scene may result in punishment.

Evidence & Reports
Players are strongly encouraged to record scenes. Staff generally require clear evidence or logs to act on reported rule breaks. Witness statements alone may not be enough.

Rules Apply at All Times
There are no “off-hours” where rules stop applying. The rules are enforced at all times, regardless of server population or time zone.

Roleplay Abbreviations

OOC = Out of Character

General In-Game Rules

Serious Roleplay
All players are expected to roleplay seriously and in a manner consistent with the Naruto setting. Your dialogue, actions, appearance, and behavior should reflect the world you are playing in. Intentionally ruining atmosphere, trolling, or acting with no intent to roleplay may be treated as FailRP.

Scene Continuity
Do not disconnect, swap characters, or otherwise avoid an active roleplay scene. If you must leave unexpectedly, inform the people involved or contact staff as soon as possible.

Respect Outside of RP
Outside of character, all players must remain respectful. OOC harassment, insults, discrimination, and bullying are not permitted even if the in-character scene is hostile.

No HRP in Active Scenes
Do not break character during roleplay to argue rules, accuse others, or complain about a scene. Continue the scene and report the issue afterward if necessary.

Voice & Audio Conduct
Voice communication must remain appropriate. Trolling with soundboards, excessive voice changers, mic spam, screaming, or disruptive audio is not permitted.

Character Rules

Lore-Appropriate Identity
Your character name, appearance, and presentation must fit the Naruto universe. Names taken directly from canon major characters, famous anime figures, offensive references, or joke identities are not permitted.

Character Consistency
Your character must remain consistent over time. You may not drastically alter appearance, identity, or presentation in unrealistic ways simply to avoid recognition or consequences.

Character Separation
Your characters must remain fully separate. You may not transfer information, items, resources, influence, or roleplay advantages between your own characters.

No Throwaway Characters
You may not create characters for the sole purpose of trolling, baiting combat, causing chaos, or avoiding consequences on another character.

Life Rules

Value Your Life
Your character should behave as though their life matters. Reckless disregard for death, capture, or overwhelming danger may be treated as a serious roleplay violation.

New Life Rule (NLR)
After dying, your character forgets the final 15 minutes leading up to their death unless staff or the rules state otherwise. You may not immediately return to the same conflict, seek revenge, or reinsert yourself into the same scene.

No Revenge Return
You may not use a death as an excuse to come back with fresh aggression or to continue the same fight after NLR. Doing so is considered abuse of the life system.

FearRP Rules

FearRP Standard
If your character is clearly overpowered, captured, restrained, or placed in immediate danger, you are expected to respond realistically. You should not treat life-threatening situations as meaningless.

Orders Under Threat
If someone has placed you under valid FearRP, you are expected to reasonably comply unless a believable opportunity to escape or resist presents itself. Blindly charging into death may result in severe consequences, including PK where applicable.

No PK Hunting
Players may not repeatedly create situations purely to place others under FearRP in hopes of forcing kills, punishments, or permanent consequences.

Killing Rules

No Random Killing
You may not kill another player without valid in-character reason. Violence must come from meaningful roleplay, not impulse, boredom, or personal OOC frustration.

Escalation Matters
Insults, arguments, and disrespect alone are usually not enough to justify lethal force. Roleplay should escalate naturally. Immediate murder over minor conflict will likely be treated as RDM or FailRP.

Self-Defense
You may defend yourself or others when a clear and immediate threat exists. However, self-defense cannot be used to excuse baiting, forced escalation, or scenes you intentionally engineered to justify violence.

Witnesses & Identification
You may not kill random bystanders simply for being nearby. If a scene involves witnesses, retaliation or silencing must still follow valid roleplay logic and server policy.

Metagaming Rules

No OOC to IC Transfer
You may not use information learned out of character for in-character gain. This includes Discord, streams, private calls, chat outside the server, admin situations, and information from your other characters.

Voice Chat Restrictions
Active Discord or third-party voice coordination while in RP is not allowed if it provides in-character information or coordination that your character would not realistically have.

IC Identification Standards
You may only identify someone through legitimate in-character means such as direct introduction, clear recognition, known clothing and voice, official records, or other believable roleplay methods.

Powergaming Rules

No Forced Outcomes
You may not force actions, reactions, injuries, confessions, or outcomes onto another player without giving them a fair opportunity to respond.

No Unrealistic Advantage
You may not use game mechanics, technicalities, or artificial logic to create an unfair advantage in roleplay scenes.

No Returning on Alts
If your character is removed from, captured in, or heavily involved in a scene, you may not return to influence that same situation on another character.

NarutoRP Specific Rules

Village Change Procedure
Changing village must follow the official server process. Transferring factions, allegiances, or village status without the proper procedure may result in punishment.

Roleplay Coherence
Your character’s actions, loyalties, abilities, and presentation must remain believable. Sudden changes made only to avoid consequences, bypass recognition, or gain an edge are not allowed.

No Canon Identity Theft
You may not use the exact names of major canon Naruto characters or claim canon legacy in a way that disrupts server lore unless explicitly approved by staff.

No HRP Messaging for RP Advantage
Commands or private messages intended for OOC use may not be used to share RP information such as capture status, enemy movement, or mission details.

RPK / War Zones Require Approval
Mass conflict zones, village invasions, war events, or areas with severe lethal consequences may not be declared casually. Such events require staff oversight or explicit prior approval.

Kekkei Genkai & Project Restrictions
Special bloodline or project-based mechanics may not be transferred, duplicated, or bypassed through character swapping unless allowed by official server policy.

Enforcement Notice
Punishments may vary based on severity, repetition, intent, and impact on the roleplay environment. Severe violations may result in character loss, blacklist, or permanent suspension.
